Mistress Sea

Mistress Sea

A Poem by Linear

The temporate waters beckon

entice as any woman can

To hold me

tenderly enfold me

in her saltiness

She arouses every sense

her fingers caress every open pore

Embracing me taking me deeper

and deeper

into her icy tomb

Soft seas silence

another body floats

drifting on noonday tide

Home at last

quiet now

just the lapping of her waves

The descriptions allowing me to picture the ocean at it finest and the metaphor is spectacular.

I met the ocean in 1991 for the first time. I was lucky and the beach Surfers felt pity for me and allowed me to hang with them. (I always had whiskey and beer in my truck) I did the big storms of winter three times. Today I would put my body suit on and do it again if I could. The Pacific ocean is the best place to be near. The poem is amazing. The ocean is dangerous for the people who do not respect her. A outstanding poem.
