Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Linear
"

A place of rest

"
A place of solitude, alone from this world
is the where i long to be

Alone to ease my pain
to heal my wounds and one day
to be free

Solitude is my love
she waits for me, calls to me

I long to hold her close
to feel icy breath at last
send shivers down my neck,

Rest will one day come, and in the arms of my solitude
I must surrender
close these ears to all this constant thunder

A decent poem about the final rest. This is, in my opinion, the only peace man can ultimately find...in death.

This sounds like a person who as too much going on in their life all the time or one that is at a crossroads and is becoming a little depressed trying to figure out what to do next. The flow of this poem is smooth and the imagery is beautiful.

Love this, I think we all seek solitude from time to time! Wonderfully written!

Wow, was this solitude or death? Hopefully it's not death, you seem to have a lot of life left in you. I cherish my solitude too. There is great healing in peaceful solitude. I pity the person who can't bear to be by themself. I've dated men that way. I can sense it, that they are just seeking my company to keep from being by themselves. There is security in knowing and loving yourself, I believe this comes from solitude. Lovely poem.

Something a lot of people can relate to, the feeling of just taking yourself away from everything.
