Ageless Love

Ageless Love

A Poem by Linear

Was it so long ago that i found you?

Laughter ringing like bells, soft curls falling over shoulders

was our love a mirage, a phantom
a spectre sent to haunt
for the rest of my days

Was it so long ago that i dreamed you?
has it been so long

Wake me up, with your lips upon mine
breathe breath into this dead heart,
wake me up to your smile

embrace me, take these bones and make me live once more.

Has it truely been so very long

Makes me think of the story ' Sleeping Beauty'

The lady lying in eternal sleep waiting for the prince charming to come and break the spell...

This was beautiful and how a nice use of emotion in it. A fantastic job

Perhaps this was written for a lover after a long separation… I liked it very much! The language is classic and beautiful.

One thing though: there should be a question mark at the end of the last line.

A touching write - a mix of emotions in this question - slight desperation but mostly longing and passion...
Really beautiful

This is beautiful as the images are painted with such reverie

Such beauty and warmth in this poem, waking a love that has been asleep for a while, so wonderfully expressed.

There is a depth and passion to your longing... looking back and feeling all that was... wanting to know it again... You express this in ways so relatable and honest.
