4 In the Morning

4 In the Morning

A Poem by Lindsay Hope
"

Some late night/early morning thoughts. The mind wanders at 4 in the morning.

"

It's 4 in the morning

Everything seems to move at a slower pace at 4 in the morning

Time

The way darkness will become light

The breath of those who are sleeping

Me not being one of them

I'm wide awake

My thoughts...they move slower too

Yet the thought of you is racing through my mind

Did you have a good night tonight?

Has life been treating you well?

Is it better with or without me?

It's crazy how the world feels so different without you

It's not just 4 in the morning that feels slower

It's everyday second, every minute, every hour

Time Keeps Slowing Down

I hope that you have enough happiness for the both of us now

Because I'm up at 4 in the morning And all I'm thinking about is you

This is a very emotional piece. I can feel the emotions the narrator is portraying. One thing I would suggest is going even further, using some word play to add more depth to the piece. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the read.
