Oh when do when do you need coffee? Don't worry dear I will I will get a cup of coffee later and if you need one let me know. Do you need bagels too?. I will go around 8 AM to get the coffee. You sleep some more time especially today Saturday. Thanks a lot Cletus and I turn around in the bed and went back to sleep. When I got up it was around 9 AM. I had the creaking noise of front door and I knew this came back. He had that coffee and bagels. It seemed that he got the coffee from the Dunkin' Donuts had the bagels farm the hand rolled a bagel place which is my favorite. The front door needs some kind of lubrication in those hinges so that the annoying creepy noise will go away when you open the door. It can wait Laura said. Jonathan is coming next week and he can do it. I used to do all these things myself but lately maybe the opposite. I gave it a small sigh. What's the big deal door can wait Laura reassured me.
Now my house reminds me of a nest with the one bird left. Sorry it's not a house no more it's a one bedroom studio. I moved to the studio last year. Now I am a bird without the partner and I won't say I am one left out of two love birds. I can live without that bird who was my partner. Laura left me any year back and now we are officially divorced after 35 years of living together. Life happens that's all. Shoot move with another guy in the neighborhood. Even if he divorced we had a healthy relationship. Last time I asked Laura that can she come for a family gathering?. Both our families know that we are divorced and we have a grandchild together and both families accepted as it is when came to our current family dynamics. The issue is Mathew and he's a real pain in the neck. Mathew is the guy she's with and she doesn't do any work and always at home. He made a big deal that I'm talking to Laura. She doesn't want me to call her and ask her to come anywhere where I am and it sounds little petty. After half me three are in 60s and we have seen lives for last 60 years our lives as well as the lives of the people around us. These things like divorces happen and still people can live healthy and content nurturing healthy relationship. Obviously Mathew doesn't believe in it. Mathew believes cut it when it sprouts. I have no problem as it won't make that much difference in my life that's for sure.
Then what is the problem I asked Cletus. No problem Maggie same time it sucks sometimes. For example there are six weddings coming in summer and fall together. I can go myself but people will look at you and you know from that look what they are thinking in their mind. I don't want to see that look. I have a friend at my work who is the for the last 20 years. Her name is Emma. Emma is amazing and she is an administrative assistant same job I do for living at present. Emma will come with me if I have to go for lunch and she will spend that hour with me but nothing more than that. Emma clearly told me she doesn't want to advance our relationship and I respected it. There is no way I can ask her that she can come with me into those weddings and it sucks. She won't even come with me to the holy mass during Sundays. She has no children and she's single with no relationship since her husband passed away with heart attack that even 20 years back. She says she has friends in the similar boat and she doesn't feel lonely. Good for her I would say.
After work I will go to my apartment may have some dinner and watch TV and sleep same routine every single day. There is no a sound from my mouth until the morning.
Well ok then come for cup of Joe in the morning or evening with me. I have full time work and one day baby sitting of my granddaughter who just turned three. Thanks for the offer Cletus replied. Do you think I won’t get people to accompany me but I do not want them to come with me. My son is coming next week and we are going for a week long vacation in Pokinos mountains. We have a small house there. Good enjoy the lovely solitude if that is your wish and I smiled. Cletus laughed so wild and no one in the whole world may say he is lonely aka enjoying his solitude in his own words.
Do you need the lemonade or latte Cletus with your lunch. We both were at nearby Burger King for our lunch break and he said no. He usually get lemonade or latte with lunch which he drinks later. I felt like he is enjoying solitude even me his colleague is having lunch with him. It is already forty five minutes. We need to get back to work in time.
