I hugged my loved ones

I hugged my loved ones

A Poem by Linda alexander

I hugged my loved ones
Shimmering stars waved good bye
Lunar light bathed us and left
I could not read them fully
I am not a poet not even an artist
A simple man with all flaws
In pitch black darkness death ravaged
My village and loved ones all gone
Death snatched them with lightening speed
I hugged my loved ones still they left me
