Farewell to my thunderstorm

Farewell to my thunderstorm

A Poem by Linda alexander

That day came already
I have no options left
I have to say those words
The words we share at final days

It is not that easy my soulmate
It will be never be in any manner
The courage you gave me when together
I will cherish them until my last breath

When the breeze caress my hair
When the dipper shaped stars look at me
Those moments blue jays chirp around
I know for sure my thunderstorm is with me

Powerful companions find lightning in a bottle...
but eventually the bottle breaks...the breath leaks out...
and we lose the loved one we thought would never leave us.
But thunderstorms do leave evidence...and imprint them upon our sun...

The author's note highlights the poignancy of this poem. When a relationship has been close for so long, final goodbyes can be ordeals. The only saving grace is the memories, which in this case seem to have been very good ones.
