Pursuit for roots

Pursuit for roots

A Poem by Linda alexander

Why can not we grow and blossom
Is the growing a real hassle
Why we can not advance like mighty oak
Is the xylem and phloem too weak

Do we need strong roots to grow
Do roots have role in our dream seeds to fly
Pursuit for roots really matters in mid way
Can the roots grow well in displaced soil

Pertinent questions in an unsettled world when the answer is really so simple - accept and love one another for who they are, and be thankful for that which we have, rather than be filled envy for that which we do not have. Your thoughts are insightful and appealing to me!!

Sow your feet and stand still is my law in achieving anything. This is poem imparts that msg. Without roots nothing can stay strong., it may be until the time is in our hand.
Nicely penned I liked it.

strong roots really do make it easier---and they aren't always there...but we do what we can to grow strong, given whatever circumstances.

We do need strong roots and the soil we grow in has to be nurturing. Your metaphor is good and asks a good question. I liked it. Lydi**
