I miss my childhood Xmas

A Poem by Linda alexander
"

It is based on my childhood Christmas

"
should have been in the church now
I am not in church, I am not happy about it
There are so many things I am not happy about it
I only need to make my attitude as positive as possible
I only want little colors to this day
My father used to decorate entire walls with candles and decorations
He wanted children to be happy
We had a different star in the middle of front yard
It was made by a carpenter every year
My father made sure we had a nice xmas
This nostalgia is killing me
The home sickness is really terrible
The appam, chicken curry from different houses still tasty
The xmas carol of various age group was fabulous
The stage play as chavittu nadakam was a variety
He never allowed to go to Fortcochi for some reasons during xmas
The drama in nearby church was unavoidable
I can't believe all those things were there
I miss my childhood xmas  really miss the Christmas time foods

I hear many people say..if only it could be now as it was then. The young do not understand.
I know of what you speak....your pain is felt and understood well.
You have said what many say...inside.

Enjoyed this.
