It's not the snide smart a*s wipe that grin offer something else look about them

It's not even the who do you know that's in with more people than I  glare of disgust 

It might be the shared lost sense of direction but the secret headings are only for us

Maybe it's the offensive defensive put downs to deal with on that one sought level

Or could it be they cannot stand original thought provoking existence?

Turn them all loose and leash less and wait to see who is mimicked longest

Damn that itchy toe it's unscratchable  where did I put down that glass? and why?

Is all acadamia  on the same scale of preferred pomposity or is it just Ivy league?

One day in this system is two days too many  Can I fake it and lead a few astray?

Of course not.  That's exactly how it perpetuates itself.  As to how far has it spread?

Well, the character in that book has seen of course to break the world around her together, and she has seen how her friends - business people got worse off... and they deteriorated in this world of indifference and I know she then also became a fighter against this system and had to find out, that her life belongs to her.. utterly to her.. quite apocalyptic and i think we are heading exactly into that direction..

... hmmm ... that's a razor sharp comment and insight ... i found out some time back though ... that originality and innovation are not actually encouraged ... pomposity is more rampant ... the above average person ... by definition is in a minority ... makes it challenging no doubt to find a way through all the jargon and hype that is constantly perpetuated ... but ... it's equally satisfying to circumvent the challenges ... lateral thinking comes in very handy ... a very thought-provoking write nonetheless ...
