Satisfaction

Satisfaction

A Poem by Donald Meikle

In those eyes I see my father
Looking deeply in my soul
Startled secrets staring wonder
Finding love and comfort whole
Add another brush of lather
Shave the neck and spare the beard
Smiling now he's still there watching
Memories of thoughts we shared
