Flight PlansA Poem by Donald Meikle
Caressing shadows in the glare of Fancy's foggy runway,
Expectant exultation holding breath behind my throat. Soon the rush of living dream, in shiver singing soar, Will carry me to slowered time, and bended light of more, Free to twist, and twirl, and dive, through thoughts, so almost seen Arranging them like firework lights, in endless nights, To wake, and entertain. Fancies dancing colors, short-circuiting my brain. The laughing downhill running joy, of sweet forever young, Stays yet with me so faithfully, A song upon my tongue. © 2009 Donald MeikleReviews
