Density

Density

A Poem by Donald Meikle

Rooted in rising aspirations
Left alone in a field of dread
Autumn glimpses of
Winter wind skies
Whither the harvest
of withering drive
Whether twas worth it
To be so alive
Standing silent
beside fruited seeds
Steadfastly set
in his ways

this tells me about human metamorphosis, about getting older and looking back, it is about the time when people evaluate the life's output; I loved every line. Every one.

What a lovely poem Donald and a great way of describing destiny too. I see it like that myself, but thankfully because of free will we have our parts to play as well :)
