Poetic Justice

Poetic Justice

A Chapter by Donald Meikle
"

Duty Calls

"
This nation, this grand experiment in freedom, is lost.
We are in debt to nations that have never had freedom
And we are to blame. That great silent majority that did not vote.
and all those representatives that allowed us to fail.
A friend called it corporate greed I question the corporate
Up until now all I have done is observe.
It seems to have been a lifetime occupation
What could I have done to prevent this?
Can it be fixed?
Can we just cease paying the salaries and benefits
Of the representatives who have sold us out?
Is their blind ignorance and lack of character beyond recovery?
What kind of freedom is this that allows thievery?
In the name of taxation
Let's hide the enormity of it in payroll deductions
Social Security is a joke our representatives do not get
They have benefits that are way beyond that pittance
Why have we sunk into apathy so far we allowed it?
Why do we still allow it?
This trough they have built to wallow in should be
plated in gold and held up as an example for future
civilizations to fear.
I truly believe we have sunk beyond our capacity to recover.
As to survival? I and my family are capable of finding food and shelter
in New England.
Are You?

Endemic apocalypta.

The village bully became chief and made everyone cowtow to him. The benefits of power and greed became obvious. Succeeding kings, patriachs, matriarchs, and varying nobilities made popular the trappings of power and greed. For millenia we have willingly sown a seed of lust for power and greed. Is it in this century we are to see the bearing of its fruit?

No Cromwell succors. No New Deals from Roosevelt. Alas, alas, a king arises to take away all and redistributes as he sees fit. In a world depleted of resources, those nearest heavily populated areas will be hunted. First for their resources then for their labor.

The world will recalibrate. The old order will weep. The Novus Ordo Seclorum awaits.

Hi Donald, well said. It is a pittance what's going on but we need to know that their failures became known for their greed was immessurable! It is a pest luring everywhere! Today we have in Germany a new scandal. Germany's most important banks made insider knowledge business with the bankrupt german hypo bank. Those shameless bankers sold deliberately Papers of an insolvent bankrupt bank institute to middle class. Here ppl work one whole life topay off their one house.
I m so sad and angry. My abhoring those oligarchs is without limit.

We need rules for capitalism so that this won t happen again. International rules! OPeL in Ruesselsheim is bankrupcy for the holding GM in USA is bankrupcy. Ha! And german government bow gives financial injection to OPEl in order to save 10,000 of jobs in germany and those b******s that caused this orld wide financial disaster keep their profits their money?? What is this for a justice? Their managers since the seventies in Germany were obedient to auctionairs the share holders - for their boni and menas their own money depends upon the amount of the dividende (not sure english expression).
Conclusion:
So those corporate greedy b******s can get rich and richer - and they are not even to blame for this - governments obama and EU governments give millions as conjuncture injection - and those who caused this - celebrate themselves in Vienna - celebrating themselves with champaigne??

How I abhor this dualistic world! No morals. No conscience.

That's why: world needs international rules. Capitalism needs restriction made by governments to save middle class.

And call this Marxism, I don't care!

It is not Marxism!! I never shall symphatize with what did eastern europe before 1989!!
Marx was a dreamer, even in such times like now I see his books in book stores again.

There is nowhere to go i fear. What we can do, go few steps back, go zeRO CO 2. Means no computers and electrocars or hybrids make music instead of listen to it as a passIve observer. We can make vegetable gardens of parks and we can relinquish possessions and I just know: less is more.
So then we might step out of anonymity and loneliness out of superficial media-conform behaviour, we can be more friends than competitors and perhaps - we will find again the conscience in our hearts. In 30 y this world will have much more spirituality than know. For, methinks, it will be the part of the cosmological modell.
Great write donald. Thx for reading fLOODS; much appreciated. I cannot give rating with BBerry but if i could, I would give u 100%.
