Standing
In wet sands of running tides Watching water, breaking into surf Echoes of an ocean's heart resounding. I contemplate my time spent here on earth. How much of it is spent in isolation Gathering information to remember For later recollection's sad reflection? Standing In wet sands of running tides How many feel the lunar ticking time ? The emptiness of yearning to be filled And then the high of flowing joyful rhyme Sings itself in answering fulfilled So yesterdays are gathered in tomorrows Standing In wet sands of running tides © 2008 Donald MeikleReviews
