wozzit There?

wozzit There?

A Poem by Donald Meikle

and today I learned a secret
about how to live and love
and I learned of all the others
who had reached out to above

believing dreams can happen and turning on the force
and I recognized the pattern and I simply said of course
For it's all in the believing and treating dreams as real
So I'm now a poet laureate and my words are how I feel

I have taken up the standard of the poor downtrodden fools
and carry it to battle with all the clinging stinging rules
Words will carry me to freedom on a steed that bites the bit
On a downhill charging gallop in a manner that is fit

It's all a swinging slap at time to stretch it further on
To shed the clinging doubts and fears of other working men
It's all in the believing, treating every hope as real
and taking time to thank all the others who have won

Wha' is i' tha' ye want lar ' ?
Is it fame or wealth or health?
Cast off all doubt and smallest fear
Believe that it's already here
It's how the best compete in games
It's how a business grows
It's even how to grow a rose
Try it lass there's nought to lose

These words have a deep impact, I always like your opinion on life; yes what do we want? Here you are a poet who demonstrates life trough the art ofgreat simple poetry. I liked these fundamentals: "Wha' is i' tha' ye want lar ' ?
Is it fame or wealth or health?
Cast off all doubt and smallest fear
Believe that it's already here
"

wonderful poetry.
