Blind faith

Blind faith

A Poem by Donald Meikle

When Greed concedes to share

When Envy finds true love

Maybe on a wet Wednesday

As Hope feels charitable

Then will I rise to an occasional smile

But slowly. very slowly

In absolute awe

hard to have blind faith in people these days, but wow...if it comes to what you speak of in this poem...i too will be in awe---hesitantly, but will get there.

A lot of things must happen for the foolish men to lose greed and envy. Would be a better world if we could. Nice flow of things left the reader with many things to think about. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Sweetly succinct, this poem speaks to the wondrousness of a world bereft of the maladies of the empty human condition. When lacking in soul, we will never be whole. Love this!

If I get paid before this weekend, I am going to the tattoo parlor and I am goin to get a tattoo of a hummingbird, and the word "you", so I can take "you" with me where ever I go, and when its peanut butter jelly time and the stranger asks who did you get that tattoo for Honey? and I'll smile I'll say , it was for you baby, all for "you" ha!
