Famousity

Famousity

A Poem by Donald Meikle

Would you like to see more of your world?

Try oil painting

You'll see colors today that you didn't yesterday

I looked at Adolf Hitler's painting yesterday

Found it quite good

Churchill's was better

But I'd rather expected that.

I'd frankly be bored to death mastering either.

But give it a go.

Seeing beyond oneself is fodder of poetry

Sipped and swallowed between blinks of feelings

Chewed reflectively in fresh lit reason

As butterflies and humming birds fly by

So unaware and uncaringly busy

Would you like to see more of your world?

Or mine?
