Flag Waving RacistA Chapter by Donald MeikleI wish I was competent enough to express my feelings of freedom of living in united states of America. The joy I felt when strangers walking by said good morning and meant it. Watching as everybody stepped aside or opened doors for older or burdened others. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents elected representatives who actually tried to do what their voters expected and their conscience and country desired. Oddly enough the ones who managed to succeed at this were more likely to be re-elected. The people expected their government to work together to enact laws and programs that were non partisan. Parties were political groups that representatives used in elections- - Not in government. My family came here to be free of excessive government, excessive taxation, and totalitarian union power. And we were, we really were, Then. Now? Now I'm a disabled American veteran, and too damned dependent on the Social Security check and retirement money to even attempt to be non politically correct.or racist un-American Tea Partyish after all he is the first black president. Somehow that excuses him from every mistake he makes. ( Bush probably caused it anyway) Truman ran my America. Ike laid his life on the line for us and then became president to do a fair job of it. Like I said I wish I was competent enough to instill those feelings in the americans of today. © 2014 Donald MeikleReviews
