Twang

Twang

A Poem by Donald Meikle

The snowing has stopped again

Empty trees wave in breeze

Rhododendrons refuse to drip

Green peeks through light brown grass

As  wet road surface shines

Hope sees Spring budding wetly

Optimism shyly smiles

Tired eyelids slowly close

As Noon returns again to gloat

Another day is blowing by unnoticed

As coffee brews to fill the afternoon

with sipped content

So grateful life is spent

on yet another Monday

Rhododendrons are no longer dripping icecream down the front of us, the trees are minus their sway of leaves, springtime is shining on the melting roads, time to dream at the gloating mid day, aromatic Monday...enjoyed.
