Sun Dried Tears

Sun Dried Tears

A Poem by Donald Meikle

To many perceptions of early morning light

rising in more realities, there is a magic enthralling poetry

screaming to be heard.

Too many perceptions of early morning light dazzle and blind

to such a degree that smaller  delicate viewpoints hide in shyness

And yet it is almost impossible not to recount such occurrences  as clearly as possibilities allow

A love lens  seems to be an absolute necessity

Mine is blurred of late and somewhat scratched

wow, this perfectly describes the way I feel when I'm inspired first thing in the morning.

skald awakenin' (there I go wordplayin' again
as well as mine, light streaming through a scratched lens will make a broken prism, but the color can not be denied...only misjudged, somewhat bent. I enjoyed this somewhat softer side of poetry that shines through this.
