Very true words... alas I found those we love may not love our poetry. We must speak to each girl in the language she speaks, and for some, it just aint poetry.
That however, is a great problem for a man to have, though its hard to make up ground as with women you dont get a second chance to make a first impression, and the impression of the romantic writer as opposed to the virile lover just does not cut the mustard!
Life is perhaps different when seen through the eyes of a poet. I have been writing for so long now that I cannot really remember a time when I didn't view the world in such a way.
The ability to express oneself in such a way, (no matter the level of 'skill',) is a gift to be cherished and your poem writes this large.
Line one I believe is true, at least for a healthy life I think, I'm not sure about line two, I read many dark poets that are very talented but they do not seem very enamored with life. I do appreciate lines three through six, but line seven closes with a fundamental clarity, the best poets surpass even death to live on in timeless words through poetry, bravo.
