Orange

Orange

A Poem by Donald Meikle

The day was orange in twilight

The way I cringe in my night

Rhyme me a word master poet

One that I've heard and don' know it

Tell me how easily words have to flow

like an old creaky hinge lets you know

peel an orange and gently let go

There's a world full of words to play with

On an' for ever an' never say never

nothing can rhyme with orange

maybe arrange is too easily said

Beautiful Illusion, I love how you tie the words and rhyme so beautifully. Keep posting!

I have to say this was pretty bloody brilliant, but ...according to the Rhyming dictionary (on line) arrange is an "almost" rhyme, and yeah, you made me look it up...made me smile in an irritated wonderful kind of way.
