Soonish

Soonish

A Poem by Donald Meikle

sadness steals and seals emotion

hones the edge of night

as darkness is obscured by tears

while night  consumed in fears

conceals the light of day

The morning dawning sun blasts

Whiteness into clouds

and burns away the dews of fog

stealing warmth from shallow waters

as sadness blindly watches

another broken day

begin to smile

Smile through the pain. Nice format as well as word choice. I admire the emotion of sadness that starts the next day with a smile. Brand new. I will be back to read more.
