The devil invented religion
To turn paradise into hell
And up to my last observation
He seemed to be doing quite well
there's Irishmen killing each other
Over methods of bending to pray
Arabs are suicide bombing
They think that they're getting away
Polluting the garden of Eden
Without even stopping to think
Lost in our own procreation
'til something's beginning to stink
Is everyone blinded by faith?
Or too tightly wrapped up in greed
Busy extending their need
Or caught up afloat in the flow
To feel to hear and to smell
The brimstone stench of the well
What did a devious demon do
No wonder they call it a pew
lol, isn't that the truth! I do believe in God though, very much so, just not the version man would have us believe in. This was a perfectly balanced warning for the global inhabitants, I couldn't enjoy more, seriously, no trees, no air..do the math peeps!
'there's Irishmen killing each other
Over methods of bending to pray'
hell/heaven we can't have one without the other existing almost by definition but i know which one i'm going to try for lol... it is a very sad world that we live in and this very humourous poem gives light relief on some very serious concerns. fantastic.
You get the reader quite... with just the first few lines... and then drop everything else to this write... Speaks volume and leaves one with a better understanding... some are just closed minded to the facts of your observation...
