Lost

Lost

A Poem by Donald Meikle
"

Reflection

"

Lost

Not really wanting to be found

And judged for what I have become

Lost

Still a wanderer

Yet seeking satisfaction in accomplishment

trying not to wallow in what could have been

Thankful of what I have yet still

Lost

Seeing the lack of neighborly living

That used to permeate a sincere life of hard work

and pride in knowing  all were together in pursuit of happiness

Lost

Not knowing how to point the way

Searching

But not alone

Thankfully

not alone

I love this, I think the world has lost its way and in turn many of us feel that we have become lost in the world. A lovely write.

Ah, I love this.
This reminds me of the saying "not all who wander are lost." Its describes a feeling that I've had a hard time trying to put into words. This is quite lovely. Nice job.
