slipping neapA Poem by Donald MeikleI wanted words to flow
All my thoughts just glide and go
Like flotsam clumps in tidal flow And as I wait upon the tide With sweet companion at my side I hold my precious thoughts inside If told I know I'd have to hide These waves of wonder crash asunder Upon the spell that I am under And spin my thoughts around my head To make me think that I have read These words to fill me full of dread And so I write them down instead Before the ebb of tide I slide and slither Yon and hither Wondering whither I have been
