sincerely unregretably

A Poem by amelia.elaine

i'll be your laughing stock
i'll be the only one who ever knew you by heart
like the lyrics we screamed in your car
and the way your fingers brushed my skin
when we were both intoxicated off the sin filling the room

i'm not the little girl you left behind
i'm the fighter you created
you'll find another victim, another silly girl
who thinks she needs you to be by her side
i'm not the little girl you took advantage of

i found my heart, i found myself
the scar still reads "used" clear and dark
it doesn't fade, it reminds me of the mistake i made
the mistake i thank you for
i found the friend i needed, in the boy you replaced

i'm more then you can handle
i'm better then you could ever get
with a face flawless, and a normal nose
i'm the girl who doesn't look like the creature
you call the love of your life

you could never handle
the little girl you touch so gentley that day
i'm more of a woman then you'll ever know
i thank you

sincerly
