A Poem by amelia.elaine

her lungs continue to scream
as she inhales the smoke and nicotine
her body obsorbs the tabacco
she craves the addiction that her cigerette holds

as the fumes fill the air
the scent becomes her intoxication
one more cigerette, one more drag
the nicotine does more then relieve her stress
it hooks her with its tempting bait

as her cigerette dies out
and the flame from her lighter fades
she heaves a disappointing sigh
and returns to reality

her nicotine escape now wasting away
in ashes and gravel, remains a reminder
that there's always a way out at least for a few minutes
while the cigerette burns away

Hm.
I like this.
A different sort of reality. I felt that it really showed need. The need for something, as an addiction to a cigarette.
Well done.
