sun fading

sun fading

A Poem by candy leopard
"

dancing away from reality as the sun leaves for the day..

"

haze of leftover sunshine inches in its drunken pace

sweeping hollow walls with levels of gold

slow and staring, every page swallowed

by the mellow eye refracting and retracting

a montage of images in scrambled light

projecting the dreams of others across my cornea

panthers winding around barber poles, grinning

a restless embryo attempting to pry through the womb

roads curved and endless, numbers licking the asphalt

jumping from the clock, which now stands naked amongst clouds

and i find myself dreaming these things by myself

curled under a subsiding menagerie of thoughts

wondering where the past five minutes had gone
