A Poem by lily platycorn
"

As I rode through the countryside to go to my uncle's funeral the hills looked like a sleek serpent breathing flames into the dark red trees.

"
The Green Hills

Are a jade serpent

The dragon of spring

The wake of the morn

The dance of life

The sleep of death

The way of the world.
