By the Ocean

By the Ocean

A Poem by lily platycorn
"

I saw this tiny, really old little woman with perfectly white hair and a sweet face and big sad brown eyes by the ocean and this is what i thought of.

"
By the ocean breeze
A wrinkled white lady sees
Rocks in the shape of seagulls,
Waves like dancing unicorns.
Old white spotted fish skulls,
Billowing sails, looking like swan wings
Mist flowing freely,
Like softly drifting music notes.
The rocks all cold and steely,
Trembling boats
Like whispering nymphs
For she sees everything,
With her dim old eyes,
The other side,
The mermaids, with flowing hair,
And tails slapping the water behind them.
Knowing that soon
She will see no more.
