chapter 5

This pissed Nate off. He punched victor in the face. Victor fell to the ground. Nate kicked victor repeatedly in the gut. Victor grabbed Nate's leg and pulled him to the ground. They both got up and began wailing on each other. All victor could her was lily's relentless screams  of fear. Nate delivered a knock out punch to victors face. Nate ran back in to lily's room he plucked her off her bed and went to the window he jerked the window open and grabbed the fire escape ladder with one hand he other he used to hold lily close. They fell towards the ground with her in his arms. When the fire escape ladder hit the ground Nate grabbed lily up with both hands and ran towards his house.

"put me down" lily mumbled. Nate placed her gently on his bed. "You can see in my room" lily screeched at Nate. She could see into her room from Nate's. Then she began to think "oh you  parents bought this house. You picked this room so you could see into mine. You perve." Lily giggled.

 "Oh really" Nate said smoothly. He jumped up from his chair and picked lily up. He sat down and put lily down gently on his lap. He wrapped his arms gently around lily's tiny waist. "I love you" He mumbled his voice muffled by lily's sweet smelling hair.

Lily began to sob again. Nate closed the curtains when he saw movement in lily's room next door. He pulled lily closer and they both drifted slowly into sleep.
