chapter 1

"S**t" Lily mumbled as she got out of bed she was late for school again. She ran into that bath room and teased her hair quickly and put in her snake bites. She put on skinny Jeans a rolling stones tee her studded belt put on her old converse and ran out the door.

She was surprised to see Victor ans Emily still waiting for her. She was 7 minutes late.

"Sorry" she breathed as she jumped into the back of the mustang convertible Emily had gotten for Christmas last year.

"Why do you say sorry so much?" Victor said.

 "Because i am sorry for even being alive" she said sadly. "And for everything else i cause because of me were going to be so late."

"Shut up" victor said angrily. victor was yet again the only person in the car that wasn't emo.

 She was hurt she thought of the razor in her bag. She also thought about how much she was going to hate today. "He's going to be back today." She said As she remembered the text she had gotten last night that had made her cry almost all night.

 "Who gonna be back today" Emily said with a worried look. Emily was so consumed in Lily's sadness that she almost crashed into another car if victor hadn't grabbed the wheel.

 "Watch the road" Victor yelled at Emily. He turned in his seat so he could look in Lily's eyes. "Don't worry about Nate Nita hes not gonna hurt you again."  Victor was the only one who knew about lily trying to kill her self last march.

 "Nate coming back" Emily said almost chocking on the bagel she was eating. "Lily if yo take him back I'm sicking victor on him."

 "I wont." She said as they pulled into the abandoned parking lot. Lily had to go to the other building of their high school. She was walking across that parking lot when some behind a neon green Camaro grabbed her. She didn't even have time to scream when she saw Nate's face right in front of hers.

 "Sorry for the scare" Nate said the he saw the scars on her wrist "and scars." He added sounding ashamed.

"What do you want" Lily whimpered.

"You back" Nate said.

"Don't hold your breath for it I'm taken" the lie spilled out of her mouth.

"So you and Victor good to see you to finally hooked up i might even be a little sorry for stealing you back." Nate said. Then he kissed lily roughly.

At first lily fought back. Then she actually found herself kissing back when she heard a sharp gasp from behind her.


Victor was standing their with two late slips in his hand his mouth hanging open and his eyes wide open.


Lily and Nate had stopped kissing as soon as they heard Victor gasp but, they still had the arms wrapped around each other when Victor pulled lily out of Nate's death grip.
