A Different Kind of Scar

A Different Kind of Scar

A Poem by Black Rose

Some scars never go away
unnoticeable but not hidden.
Not a scratch nor a bruise
but a mark that sticks to you.
A tattoo that can't be removed.
The pain of a laser.
It's more than a wound
that bleeds out and heels.
This kind of scar
it's not even real.
A broken heart.
That's what they call it.
Such a beautiful name.
For this lovely scar.
This kind of scar
hides within us.
Slowly ripping us apart.
Taking away our smile
leaving us with tears.

Those with this scar

have truly been broken
and know what it's like
being in love.

That is a nice piece to the point. Not too long not too short -- just right.
