Strip Away the Fears

Strip Away the Fears

A Poem by tasha!!© :o
"

we all make mistakes right? well what happens when theyre over?

"

Shed away the layers

Of your supposed innocence

In the back of your chariot.

Strip away the fears

Of what you’ve postponed for so long.

Three minutes flies by

And you stare out the fog

To the outside world that you’re no longer part of.

You feel disconnected

From your body and the world.

Is it your fault or his?

I think it’s all yours.

Shed away the layers

Of your supposed innocence

In the back of your chariot.

Strip away the fears

Of what you’ve postponed for so long.

As you walk through the cold night

And cool down your red cheeks

Stained with mascara tracks.

Sober up your undrunk mind

And realize that you’re screwed.

[in more than one way]

Who can you blame?

You didn’t even have any liquid courage.

Is it your fault or his?

I think it’s all yours.

As you stare out into the fog

Fumbling to tie your shoe

Realize that everything just changed.

You’ve striped away the layers

Of your supposed innocence.

Shed away the layers

Of your supposed innocence

In the back of your chariot.

Strip away the fears

Of what you’ve postponed for so long.
