Broken Wings To A Butterfly

Broken Wings To A Butterfly

A Poem by Nicholas Allia
"

Short poem in regards to strength and beauty combined with the analogy of a butterfly

"

Delicacy in the form of beauty.

Her wings as bright as can be,

If you saw what I have seen,

You’d truly feel envious of me.

Her flight path is misguided,

Her timing is late,

But her boldness is radiant,

That is no mistake.

A butterfly she is.

Touch finer than that of golden silk,

Eyes basking in the purest of sunlight.

She is inevitably the purest of creatures known to man.

As beautiful as she is,

She is but the most fragile,

Anyone can tear her wings.

Those beautiful wings.

Even torn she will still fight to fly,

Even with scars she will still fight to try,

Even sitting in the unknown she will still fight to survive.

Her passions etched with each vibrant color.

Hazel tinged warmth,

Emanating from the darkest corners held within,

Held within her heart.

If you saw what I saw,

By god and everything holy,

You’d be undoubtedly envious of me.

She shines brighter than any star,

She flies higher than any cloud,

She sings as gently as the smallest of canaries.

She is quite truly vibrant.
