How you make me feel

How you make me feel

A Poem by Arwen Evenstar

I've sat and pondered very much
About the questions you ask me
I've never really had an answer
Until now

When I see you,
You make my stomach do
Back flips, my palms start to become
Sweaty, my heart races, my breathing
Becomes irregular, you're the only
One in the room I'm looking at,
My mind races with thoughts,
Thoughts of what I'm going to say,
How I'm going to act, Am I going to
Make a mistake?

When I talk to you,
You make my heart race, I can feel
My head exploding with things
I want to say but my mouth gets
All tongue tied, I get really nervous,
I'm not sure what i want to say,
Can you hear my heart racing?

When you kiss me,
It's like the 4th of July
Fireworks inside my head
Everything just feels so right
Everything makes sense
Have I said before?
Can you hear my heart racing?
Can you feel my body trembling?

When you hold me,
I feel safe, i feel secure,
I feel loved, my body trembles,
You make me, never want to leave
The sanctuary that your arms bring me

So you see, when you asked me
I never knew how to put into words
I still really don't know how
This is just a small fraction
Of what I'm truly feeling
The one thing i feel the most
Is love
Just pure love
I can feel how much you love me
And in return
I want you to know just how
Much i love you
