A Wise Man Once Told MeA Poem by De'Annadedicated to my Grandpa who passed late 2008. He served in WWII and nearly died many times. He had Alzheimers. It was harding goin to see him for the last time; he couldn't remember us...
A wise old man once told me:
If we could all sit at one big table
To share a meal and a smile,
There would be no war.
But as long as there is hatred there is war.
My grandpa served in the army,
My grandpa was so carefree.
We can all be what we want,
Or we can serve at a restaurant.
My grandpa once told me:
All about how he survived his life.
But now he can't remember a thing,
All his life he's been fixing things,
But he can't fix himself…
My grandpa served in the army,
My grandpa was so carefree.
We can all be what we want,
Or we can serve at a restaurant.
A wise old man once told me…
