I Keep My Angel Close...

I Keep My Angel Close...

A Poem by De'Anna
"

another of the many lyrics

"

I keep my angel close,
Just in case I might need her.
Like when a little boy falls,
That little girl over there helps him up.
They become best friends from that point on,
Helping each other with that small sand castle
In that small sand box in the city park.

I keep my angel close,
Just in case I might need her.
Like when that boy is about to cross that street,
The girl pulls him back.
He looks, a tractor trailer truck beeps by.
He looks at her, smiles, she smiles.
They become best friends from that point on,
Helping each other with that work they have,
In this small building in this world.

I keep my angel close,
Just in case I might need her.
Like when that man is crying,
The woman dries his eyes.
He looks up and sees tears in her eyes too.
They become best friends from that point on,
Helping each other with their fears and pasts,
In this small house, in this small world.

I keep my angel close,
Just in case I might need her.
Like when I stand next to my best friends death bed,
Crying.
She comes and hugs my shoulders,
We become best friends from that point on,
Helping each other with their hardships and tears,
In this small world that we live in.
In this small place, but if you look up to the stars
You see a peaceful place,
Where no man cries,
Where no man lies,
A peaceful place,
A peaceful world.

there are many words i could use to describe this work
but im going to leave it like this
because i believe that the simple praises are the best kind for the best work
