These City Lights.

Standing high on this hill

which towers over the city

anxious

awaiting for something exciting to happen

 

The sun starts to set into complete darkness

and the moon gives off her promising light,

its soon accomidated by the ovewhelming illumination from below

 

If only i could open your eyes wide

from where you are

so that you can see what i see

 

Staring at these lights

Glistening over the cold,rippling waters

Reflecting off the buildings within the crowded asphalt jungle

neon signs glowing

 

Colors so bright

Sprinkled all around

Surrounding me with an electrical feel,

the volts create an amazing current

Trying to lure you in

so that you'll never be able to get loose

 

Everything so vividly capturing

My eyes are the victim tonight

I just can't look away

And I don't want to look away

 

All of my attention

Just focused

My 5 sences seem to like everything about it

Glued to its appearance

Listening to the noise

Tasting it's filthy air

Sniffing the smells the city has to offer

 

If only you were here to experience
