Where is Home?

Where is Home?

A Poem by Nami Machae
"

I don't know where I belong, but I'm happy where I am

"
Many people have told me
That home is where your family is
If that's the case then
My home is in rehab
and federal prison

A few have told me
Home is where the heart is
If that's the case then
My home is buried
Six feet below

So tell me this, dear reader
If home is where my family is
Or where the heart is
Then why do I feel safer
Where I am now?

Author's Note

Nami Machae
One of my roommates and I were having a discussion about where home was earlier today and this just kinda sprung into my head. Every word is true even though its not one of my best and I know the flow is kinda choppy, it came from my heart. Enjoy and tell me what you think!

This is a great piece, and i didnt see any problem with the word flow at all! I seriously think many people can relate to this. Most of the time, we dont know where we belong. But that doesnt make us outcasts, it makes us unique. Keep up the good writing!

SUCH A GREAT PIECE. THIS FIRST VERSE MADE ME LAUGH. (DON'T HATE ME) BUT YOU REALLY DO MAKE A GOOD POINT HERE. I GUESS HOME IS JUST A THEORY. OR ANOTHER ONE OF LIFE'S MYSTERIES. OR MAYBE YOU HAVE TO DECIDE WHERE YOU WANT HOME TO BE, AND CREATE YOUR OWN HOME. START YOUR FAMILY THERE, AND AND BURY YOU HEART THERE AS WELL.
