Broken Spirit

Broken Spirit

A Poem by Nami Machae
"

She's Broken.

"
Her heart broken
Shattered among the filthy floor
Her shackles chaining her in sorrow

She cries through the night
And returns to the blade
For she wants nothing but pain

Blaming herself for all that goes wrong
A beautiful girl whose heart ripped out
Of her chest and thrown away
Just out of reach

She can make it, I know she can
She struggles every day to break free
Of the shackles that bind her

The day she escapes I'll be there
Waiting for an embrace
and to see the light once in her eyes
That was lost so long ago.
