oh, the patience you must have, and the
strength to carry on. When everything
is failed and confused. And you don't
know what's happening. When the
people you trust are changing everything,
and forcing you to change with them,
willing or not. When you only want a
riposte, but they can't deliver one. Worst
still, is a slight interest --when only shown
for a moment-- then taken back from you,
leaving you feeling worthless and empty.
Like no on wants you and no one cares.
It's enough to make you lose hope in the world...
and when everything falls apart,
so do you. You melt down into yourself,
slipping and sliding, tripping and falling,
deeper and deeper, on and on, until you hit
rock bottom. Conceit and the bodies of
those before you litter the ground where
you fall. The air is a stench, so thick it
feels more liquid than gas. Say your lies
to try and get out. The guards are no more
than angels, but they keep you there.
This wasteland, this wilderness, so
desolate; this is where the bad ones go...
so you're trapped. Yet there's always an archangel,
if you have faith. The truth stands tall, and
you scramble up, reaching to the top of
your prison, where the night sky shows bright.
When you emerge, coughing madly, there's
more relief in you then you even believed
was possible. You're bruised and nearly
broken, but alive. You tell yourself that you'll
never do that again, but there no way you can't.
Your faith helped you, but it will bring you right back again...
even if it hurts, in the end it's what saves you
You can't help falling in love.
