Secret Truth Number One: speak your mind

...and the things you would
do for someone--sometimes
unspoken--are the
things that mean the greatest.
But they remain silent, kept quiet by choice,
Your Secrets.
why?
because we're scared; terrified, even
we agonize about how They'll judge us;
what They'll think.
it's as if their opinion matters more than our own,
as if it matters more than the
Truth.

...and we end up liars.
for denying the truth --even to yourself-- is as good as lying.
Why are we scared; Why should we lie to ourselves; and Why
do we keep secrets?
we each have something that we keep hidden, and it burns
from the inside out, that we cannot trust anyone.
we keep our secrets close,
despite the fact that we know it's idiocy.
Completely and Absolutely.
no matter though, we do.

...and we are robbed.
of what could've been so great, so perfect--
if only we had the courage to Speak Our Minds.

Wow. This reminds me of the Bible Verse "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" This is a very very good write. I like it alot.
