chapter 2

"Jade you cant do you know how dangerous that is?" Justin said as Jade threw random things in her bag.

"I don't care" she said.

"you cant just go on the other side of the fence"

"why not?"

"they don't let citizens go to the other side"

"then Ill sneak out"

Jade grabbed her bag and ran out the door leaving Justin standing there not knowing how to stop her. Eventually she walked up to the fence. Charlie stopped her.

"Where are you going?" he asked

"To find my dad" Jade answered trying to get to the fence door.

"your brother is probably looking for you" people started to group around her

"maybe"

"Ill go with her" a voice said from behind her.

"who are you?" Jade thought t was her brother and she would be in trouble.

"Dan" Jade turned around

"what?" she asked to the crowd of people

"Well the law does state that a citizen has to have another to leave unless they are charged with criminal charges" he moved out of their way. Charlie handed Jade an old axe "you might need this"

Jade and Dan walked out of the town and in to the unknown.
