Forcing one's religious beliefs on another has been since the dawn of time. In all fairness, I think we're a little bit better about accepting different beliefs now. I think it's becoming more common to accept a person for the goodness in their heart and the openness of their actions. God knows when to speak to those who are unsure of their own minds and will guide them. We all need to appreciate each other, be respectful and the rest will come naturally. Of course, there are still those that look down on anyone who is not like them. What does that tell you about their god?

Actually, I think you have done a good job here. I sense there is pain just below the surface of the well wishes. If a breakup has not occurred, one is probably imminent. Be strong; it's all just learning anyway.
