tomorrow's a sunday

tomorrow's a sunday

A Poem by lillian

tomorrow's a sunday
i should have known already
but nights are getting lonely
since sin let you leave.

i'm starting to remember
the messages i used to flee
but every time i read it
your face looks at me

oh why did you have to go?
oh why can't i see you?

you know the day i die
you know the way i speak
you know the way i'm supposed to live
you know everything

but where are you now?
where have you been?
i'm starting to forget how it feels to be loved and cared for again.

maybe that's life.
that's how it goes.
it's up's and down's that
shape the way we fold.

but that's not right
no, it's not fair
that you look down on us
and don't seem to care

tomorrow's a sunday
i almost forgot
but then i looked up and saw
my name on your heart

but there were others
and they all saw too
and all those other names
were more important to you
