Show me a Sign

Nothing happened between me a Shane, luckily. Nelson came in before we can really do anything. Which is a good thing if you ask me because being a virgin at freshmen year is actually a good thing. Still I am head over heels for Shane and if your going to do it with somebody it should be with someone special.

 

I was walking down the hall talking to Vicky, and carrying my super heavy text books.

"So did you do it?" Vicky asked. I never actually gave her the details of that night.

 

"What! Of course not!" I laughed. Maybe that's why she didn't take me seriously.

"You are such a liar! You s**t." She laughed pushing me which caused me to crash with some group of kids.

 

"Watch it!" A whiny plastic yelled. "You could've ruined my hair!"

"Alicia, calm down your hair looks fine. Sorry- Lexi?" Shane said. I couldn't help but notice that he was holding that plastic Alicia's hand.

 

"Shane, h-hi." Vicky elbowed me as I stared at him. He grabbed hold of Alicia's waist. Looking from her to me. She smiled as she noticed how I looked at Shane to her. She leaned over and gave him a kiss along with flicking me off.

 

"Here, Alexis." Nelson handed me my textbooks. He rolled his eyes and shook his head at Shane. He leaned over then whispered into my ear "He can be an a real a-hole. Don't let it get to you, okay?"

 

I nodded. My throat was dry and my heart ached with pain. "I'll just get out of your way then," I said toward Shane. He was to engulfed in Alicia's tongue than to my words.

 

Nelson looked at me then he grabbed me, pushes me close to him and kisses me. Shane stops kissing the Malibu Barbie doll to look at us. Nelson whispered "Sorry you looked like you were going cry their for a second. But hey you look happy now." I nodded. I looked like I was happy because I was.

 

Vicky laughed as we started to walk away. I was ecstatic with happiness. Then I heard them talking.

 

"Shane, how could you let her go. I mean look at her body." Nelson said.

"Yeah she's cute, I guess. But I don't know. Would it help my popularity status?"

"Dude your a junior. You cant be any more popular. But everybody roots for the underdog or you could just keep her hidden you know?"

 

Is everything about popularity with the popular kids?! they're already popular not to mention rich, but I mean come on! Who cares!...Well I suppose them, still!

 

Vicky said "I think he might have a crush on you, Lexi."

I shook my head. "Nah, wait who out of the two?"

"Nelson. And Shane. Both." Was it me or did I hear a hint of jealously in her voice? If only, only if they would do something like show me a sign!
