Memories

A Poem by SpiceCookie
"

I reached out...

"

I reached out
to a place in my heart
and dug up stories
upon stories
upon stories
bound into a journal
with a ragged cover.
And when I read,
I'm there,
again,
the sun shining
or the rain pouring
or the snow drifting.
I'm there,
again,
with you,
you and those wispy eyes,
that smile of soft rains,
the heart of marshmallow and the soul of melted chocolate,
and then I look up
and even the ocean seems lonely.

Very nice imagery in this one. Last line very poignant.
